Open Darkroom

Went to the local community darkroom today to process some film. It’s encouraging how many public darkrooms there are where I live. The lab monitor said 4 people is a crowd… I was her only customer today. Working in the darkroom is like cooking for yourself–so satisfying to watch the results unfold.  I processed 5 rolls of film and had a great time talking to the monitor.  Thank you, Sandra!

If you need a darkroom in the Washington, DC area, here’s your list:

Reston Community Center at Hunter Woods (where I was today), Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Arlington, Glen Echo in Maryland and the Smithsonian.
